Contains transcripts of obituaries, ca. 1843-1888; transcripts of marriage notices, 1842-1877; transcripts of letters, 1864-1874; transcripts of family registers; and family notes on the Higginbotham, Green, London, Paris, Bailey and other connected families of Virginia and other Southern states.
Thomas Higginbotham was born 10 June 1769 in Amherst Co., Virginia. He died in Amherst Co. in 1835.
Andrew Baily was born 1 Aug. 1767. He married Mary Anne Green (b. 1784). They had nine children.
John Green was born 10 Nov. 1744, the son of William and Amy Green. He married Mildred Davis (1742-1829) 25 Nov. 1766. They had eleven children. He died 20 August 1828.
