Jesse Durrett Winn, Sr. (1752-1823) was born in either Albemarle County or Caroline County, Virginia, and certainly lived in Caroline County. He married twice and moved to land in what is now Fayette County, Kentucky. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, Ohio, New York and elsewhere.
