Jacob Christman (1706/1709-1778) emigrated from Germany to Pennsyl vania, married Magdalena Hite about 1729, and settled in Frederick County, Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Michigan, Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Texas and elsewhere.

Includes Cox, Jett, McDowell, Scott, Simpson, Tucker and related families.
