Contains a pedigree chart showing some descendants of Capt. Thomas Ashby (d. 1752) of Fauquier County, Virginia; pages v-vii, 6-7, 650-653, 688, and an unnumber page from a work called "The Ashby book"; and a typed transcript of Thomas Ashby's will, Frederick County, Virginia, 1752.
Thomas Ashby received land in Fauquier County, Virginia, as early of 1742. He was the father of ten children. His will was written and probabated in 1752. His grandson, Peter Ashby (1751-1833), migrated to Kentucky and died in Hopkins County, Kentucky. He was the father of eight children, born 1777-1801.
