Notes

The records are indexed by surname, the FIRST and THIRD letters being used in the rectangular arrangements (matrices) that give box (drawer) numbers, but not film numbers. By using the Contents Notes (giving the range of surnames) for each film, you can determine, in most every case, the one film (with the needed surname) to order and view without referring to the box (drawer) number(s) found on the matrices.
