John Early emigrated as early as 1661 from Ireland to Christ Church, Middlesex County, Virginia, and was probably of Scotch-Irish lineage. Another Scotch-Irish immigrant was William Early, who arrived about 1742 and settled in Union County, New Jersey. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, New Jersey, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Georgia, New York, Texas, Missouri, Mississippi and elsewhere. Includes some data about the records in Ireland regarding the Early family.
