Richard Parker (1630-ca.1681) married Elizabeth Bailey, and immigrated from England to Nansemond County, Virginia. He was the direct ancestor of the Parker family of Johnston County, North Carolina. Descendants lived in North Carolina, New York, South Carolina, Alabama and elsewhere.
Includes Creech, Hinnant, Hocut (Hocutt), Massey, Odom, Temple and related families.
