Michael Yates (d.ca.1790) married Martha Marshall and lived in Caroline County, Virginia between 1750 and 1789, moving then to Kentucky. Descendants through Abner (1762-1790) and John (1764-1812) lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Illinois, California and elsewhere.
