Chatham Probate District, which included the towns of Chatham and Portland, was discontinued in 1915 when the town of Chatham was changed to East Hampton, and Portland became a separate district.

Indexes are found within each volume.

Volume 25 includes records of Chatham Probate District, 1914-1915; and Portland Probate District, 1915-1922.
