Coventry Second or North Society was established in May 1740, by division of the First Society. The church in the North Society was organized on October 8, 1745, with Rev. Nathan Strong as its first pastor. The church was incorporated on February 5, 1909 and on January 25, 1910, the Society transferred its property to the Second Congregational Church of Coventry and was dissolved.
