Microfilm of original records in possession of the Ontario Archives, Toronto.

Records to 1804 were created by the first Heir and Devisee Commission.

The "Card index of claims case files, 1804-1895" was created by the Archives of Ontario and is a newer index than the original set of indexes to claimants (5 vols.) created by the Second Heir and Devisee Commission prior to 1911.
