James Tate (1618-1665) immigrated in 1635 from England to York County, Virginia, and married Mary Evans. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Tennessee, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Arkansas, Maryland, Pennsylvania and elsewhere. Includes other Tate individuals and families (some of whom were immigants) and some of their descendants.
