Jacob (Hans Jacob) Holtzclaw was born in 1683 in Trupenbach, Nassau-Siegen, Germany and immigrated in 1714 to Germanna, Orange Co., Virginia. He married twice, moved to Fauquier Co., Virginia in 1740 and died in Germantown, Virginia in 1760.
