William Addington (b.ca.1750), son of Henry Addington and Elizabeth Burson, emigrated from London, England to Culpepper County, Virginia about 1770, and married Margaret Cromwell about 1774. He served with the colonists during the Revolutionary War, moved later to North Carolina, and then to Russell County, Virginia. He married Delila Duncan in 1784 and they had twelve children. He died in Union County, Georgia in 1845. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky, Missouri, California and elsewhere. Includes some family history in England.

Includes Dingus, Kilgore, Lawson, Nickels, Pendleton, Quillen and related families.
