Chiefly a record of some of the descendants of John Hastings, known as John Hastin. He was the son of John Hastings who died in Henrico County, Virginia in 1719. He and is first wife were the parents of six children. He and his second wife were the parents of four children. He died ca. 1763 in Amelia County, Virginia. Descendants lived in Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, Texas, Alabama, Arizona, and elsewhere.
