Chiefly ancestors, with a number of the ancestors' descendants; relatives and descendants of Harry and Malinda Grimm Wolford. He was born at Peoria, Illinois, the son of William Martin Wolford (1843-1929) and Caroline Scott Wolford (1845-1913). He married Malinda Adelia Grimm in 1901at the bride's home near Zearing, Iowa. She was born near Nevada, Iowa, in 1880, the daughter of August Henry Grimm (1849-1922) and Matilda Stollenberg Grimm (1855-1906). They had four children, 1902-1922. The family lived on a farm near Zearing, Iowa. Most descendants listed lived in Iowa.
Ancestors include: John Wolford (d. 1849) of Hampshire County, West Virginia -- Michael Short (1791-1867) of Virginia and Tazewell County, Illinois -- Robert Scott (ca. 1770-1811 or 1812) of Pennsylvania or Virginia, and Adams County, Ohio; and his father, William Scott -- Han J. Grimm (1793-1869) of Holstein, Germany, and Letts, Iowa.
