Alexander Evans (1839?-1912) was a descendant of Walter Evans who immigrated from Wales and lived in Halifax County, Virginia in 1767. Alexander married Martha Ann Hinshaw (1846-1904). Descendants and relatives lived in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Tennessee, Florida, Colorado, California and elsewhere.

Includes Haas, Hinshaw, Wininger and related families.
