Duncan Campbell (b.1646) immigrated from Scotland to Ulster County, Ireland and married Mary McCoy. John Campbell (d.1741), a son, immigrated from Ireland to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, married Grace Hay, and moved to Augusta County, Virginia in 1732. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Ohio, Iowa, Washington, D.C., New Jersey and elsewhere. Includes Campbell direct lineage (some was part of House of Argyle) in Scotland to the early 1300s.

Includes Gaddis, McNeil, Shetterly and related families.
