Notes

Anecdotes and sketches from the life story of Clyde Walter Lindsay (b.1887), a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Oakland, California. He was born in Eden, Weber County, Utah. and attended Weber Academy in Ogden when David O. McKay was the principal there. Clyde was a missionary in the Swiss/German mission from 1907 to 1910, and married Marie Thomas when he returned home. After teaching school in Kanab, Utah, and working for Utah Agricultural College in Logan, Clyde and Marie moved in 1921 to Oakland, California with his father. Eventually Clyde became a building contractor, which he continued to do when he and Marie were called as special labor missionaries to Australia between 1956 and 1959. Includes a list of the first residents of Eden in 1870, and the Eden heads-of-families between 1885 and 1895 (chiefly from church records).
