Notes

The Lima Presbyterian Church was organized 21 August 1833 at Allen County, Ohio, Courthouse. In February 1855 13 members withdrew from the origial Presbyterian Church and organized a "new school" Presbyterian Church called the Second Presbyterian Church. At this point the original Lima Presbyterian Church became known as First Presbyterian Church.

Another division occur November 1864 when 14 members withdraw from the First Presbyterian Church and organized Central Presbyterian Church. No records of Central Presbyterian Church have been found.

In December 1869 First Presbyterian Church and Second Presbyterian Church united and became known as Union Presbyterian Church.

Union and Central Presbyterian Church united in September 1872 and became known as the Presbyterian Church of Lima.

When a new church building at the Southwest Corner of Market and West Street was decide on 4 July 1880, the Church's name became Market Street Presbyterian Church.
