Moses P. Elsea was born between 1780 and 1790 in Virginia. His father was John Elsea. He married Rachel Elsey, daughter of William Elsey, 20 November 1820 in Frederick County, Virginia. They had two known children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Ohio.
