Thomas, Randall and Robert Vernon immigrated to Pennsylvania from England in 1682. They were the sons of James and Esther/Hester Vernon. They migrated to Lunenberg County, Virginia and later to Kentucky. Descendants became members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1880 and migrated to the Uintah Basin in Utah. Descendants and relatives lived also in Kentucky, North Carolina, Colorado, Idaho, Oklahoma and elsewhere.

Includes Curtis, Hurst, Powell, Rasmussen, Tankersley, Timothy and related families.
