Daniel Gold was born in 1708 in Surry County, Virginia. He married Elizabeth Pleasant, daughter of John Pleasant. They had four children. Daniel died before 1770 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas and Texas.
