John Carter of Caroline County, Virginia married Levinia Rumbly, daughter of Jacob Rumbly and Ann Edger, 18 January 1792. They had six children. He married Ann J. Taylor 5 February 1807. They had six children. Includes a transcript of Jacob Rumbly's will and a listing of John Carter's slaves including birthdate and mother's name. Includes Sinclair, Slaughter and related families.
