St. Michael Catholic Church in Findlay, Ohio began as a Station of Tiffin, Ohio in 1839. In 1860, the parish's first church was completed. In 1866, a fire destroyed the church and the next year, a new church was built. In 1870, St. Michael became a Mission of Fostoria. It remained a Mission of Fostoria on and off until 1881, when Findlay received a resident pastor.
