Jacob Miller was born in 1735 in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. His father was Solomon Miller. He married Barbara Brower and they had twelve children, all born in Franklin County, Virginia. He died in 1816. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, South Dakota, California and Washington.

Includes Boone, Cissne, Coffeen, Darst, Good, Hardman, Quyle, Witter and related families.
