Notes

Thomas and Rebecca Stanley are known to have been in what is now Middlesex County, Virginia by 1686. They became members of the Society of Friends by 1700. Their origins are unknown. They lived in or around New Kent County, Henrico County, and /or Hanover County, Virginia. Thomas later married a woman who was not a member of the Society of Friends around 1724. Descendants lived mainly in Virginia, North Carolina, Kansas and Oklahoma.
