John William Hines was born circa. 1600 and lived in or near Londonderry, Ireland. He married Sarah Alexander on 15 June 1625 in Londonderry. Three of their five sons immigrated to Virginia on 6 August 1850 and settled near the village of Chuckatuck in Nansemond County. Descendants have resided in Virginia, North Carolina and elsewhere.
John Lowder was born circa. 1738 in England. He Married Hannah who was born circa. 1735 in England. They immigrated to America where it is thought that they first settled in a Quaker community in New Jersey. They subsequently moved to South Carolina where they are found in 1766. By 1784 the family had settled in Guilford County, North Carolina. They had 13 children. Another version states that John and Hannah were born in North Carolina. Descendants have resided primarily in North Carolina, Indiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, Utah, Kentucky, Ohio, and Illinois.
Samuel Maddox was born probably in Wales circa. 1640 and died in February 1684 in Maryland. He was the son of John Madog, Lord of Scethrog. Samuel immigrated to America about 1665 and settled in St. Mary's County, Maryland. He married Ann Notley, daughter of Walter Notley, circa. 1669. Descendants have resided primarily in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, and Alabama.
