Three men, probably relatives, with the Replogle [Reblogel in German] surname immigrated to America in the 1700s from Bas-Rhin, France. 1) Johann Reinhard Reblogel/John Reinhart Replogle (1720-1796) was born at Soultz Sous Forets, Bas-Rhin, the son of Philip Reblogel (1688-1760) and the grandson of Andreas Reblogel (1656-1743). A Revolutionary War soldier, he immigrated to America ca. 1752 and lived in Pennsylvania and Maryland. He died in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. 2) Johann Balthasar Reblogel/Balzar Replogel (1722-ca. 1809) was born at Soultz Sous Forets, the son of Balthasar Reblogel (1682-before 1742). He immigrated to America and was living in York County, Pennsylvania, by 1779. He died in Rockbridge County, Virginia. 3) Johann Jacob Reblogel/John Jacob Replogle was born in 1688 at Lamerlock, Alsace. He immigrated to America in 1721 and lived at German Village, Louisiana, 1721-1736. Descendants of these men lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Louisiana, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Illinois and elsewhere.
