"This book contains a list of persons with obituaries and/or death notices found in the Farmington enterprises (now the Farmington observer) newspaper [v. 2: obituaries and/or death notices found in the Farmington observer], and unidentified newspapers, from approximately 1890-1969 [v. 2: from January 1970-December 1999]. The Farmington Community Library has bound and microfilmed copies of the newspapers beginning in 1900. Members of the Farmington Genealogical Society extracted names of the deceased from these newspapers. In addition, many of the obituaries prior to 1900 were extracted from various donated scrapbooks in the library's archives, and provide the only copy available."--Introd., v. 1.
