John Stamper was born in about 1635 in England or Virginia. He married Dorcas, who died in 1667. He married Elizabeth in about 1676. They had two known children, John and Powell. John, Sr. died in 1690 in Middlesex County, Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky.
