"Gentleman" John Perkins was born 15 September 1733 in Augusta County, Virginia. His parents were Elisha Perkins, Sr. (1697-1742) and Mary. He married Catherine Lowrance (1742-1819) in about 1760. They had ten children. Descendants and relatives lived in North Carolina, Virginia and elsewhere.
Includes Barlow, Hennessee, Miller, Powell, Harshaw and related families.
