Special Collections

Located on the Bl floor southeast corner.

Special Collections Hours

Beginning May 5th, Special Collections will open on the B1 Floor Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., and Tuesday's-Thursday 9:00 a.m.-8:00p.m.

What's in Special Collections?

For assistance with Special Collections visit the 2nd floor reference desk. Restrictions may include no photographs or copies, direct line descendant, and signature and ID required.

Temple Microfilm

Includes Latter-day Saint ordinance work for the living and proxy sealings, 1840s-1996. A valid temple recommend and ID are required.

Deceased Membership File

Contains Latter-day Saint membership record of deceased Church members from 1941-1988.

Salt Lake City Births

Contains births from 1890-1953. A request form, located at the 2nd floor reference desk, may be needed before asking for the microfilms.

Selective British Microfiche

Due to spacing, some of the British Microfiche have been placed in Special Collections.

Danish Membership Records

These records go from 1850-1950. See Special Collections on the 2nd floor for more information.

Various Restricted Records

These include UK and Scandinavian cemetery inscriptions, newspapers, church records, etc.

CD-ROM Collection

185 CDs for International, U.S., and British collections
