John William Sholar (1879-1966), son of Drewry Bruidges Sholar and Helen Wiles, was born in Linton, Kentucky. He married Eliza Jane Steger (1887-1962), daughter of Edwin Eugene Steger and Virginia Darden Peacher, in 1905 in New Providence, Tennessee. They had five chidlren. He died in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England, Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee.
