Notes

Chiefly, a record of various Looney family members who lived in Hawkins County, Tennessee, especially Michael Looney who came with his cousins, Benjamin and John. Michael Looney was among the first settlers who settled Stanley Valley in 1780. Michael and his wife had nine children. Michael died in 1839 in Hawkins County, Tennessee. Descendants lived in Tennessee, Arkansas, Maryland, Texas and elsewhere.

Includes Looney, Thomas, Ward, and related family members.
