Robert Fenner Jones (1854-1942) was born at Friendship, Tennessee, the son of Peter Beverly Jones (1824-1903) and Mary Frances Foster Jones (1832-1917). His family migrated to Texas, perhaps in the 1860s. He married Mary Frances Montgomery (1854-1930), daughter of John S. and Nancy Caroline Davids Montgomery, in 1875 in Kaufman County, Texas. They had eleven children, 1888-1897. Descendants listed lived in Texas, New Mexico and elsewhere.
Includes the Tubbs, Baldridge, Conner and other related families.
Also includes some ancestors of Robert Fenner Jones, including: John Adams (b. ca. 1700) of Wales and Virginia, and his son, John Adams (1730-ca. 1782), a Revolutionary War soldier, of Halifax County, Virginia --John Foster (b. ca. 1770) of Virginia and Tennessee.
