Walter William Waid (1878-1965) was the son of Winfield (Wingfield) Scott Waid and Adriana (Arian) Adnah Barbour of McKinney, Fannin Co., Texas. He married Harriet Elizabeth (Hattie) Wortham, the daughter of Tom D. Wortham and Ida Warren Young of Walnut Springs, Texas. They were the parents of six children. He was a descendant of Robert Powell Waid (1785/86-1834/35), the son of Moses Waid and Fanny Ferguson of Henry Co., Virginia. Family members later lived at Waidsboro, Franklin Co., VA and Wolfe City and Huntsville, Hunt Co., Texas.
Includes Wortham, Moore, Roberts, Hill, Hurst, Owen and other related families.
