Contains church records from Vor Frelsers parish in Copenhagen city. In 1901 separated Christians parish.

Beboerne på Christianshavn søgte i begyndelsen Holmans kirke, men 22. maj 1640 indviedes en midlertidig trækirke på Christianshavn, der 16 apr. 1696 afløstes af Vor Frelsers kirke. Sognegrænsen fastlagdes i h.t. anordning af 27. okt. 1696. Fra sognet udskiltes 1901 dele til det nyoprettede Christians sogn. I h.t. kgl. res. af 6. marts 1905 indlemmedes dele af Nathanaels sogn og fra 1. okt. 1973 dele af Citadels sogn i Vor Frelsers sogn.
