A collection of the old letters called "diplomas". They were often written on parchment and go back into the Middle Ages (991-1575). They are the principle sources of information about that period. These old documents consist of testimonies, abstracts from a probate registration, court records, legal documents, and inheritance or conveyance of real estate. The proper use of these documents presupposes much historical knowledge and experience and are therefor most suitable for specialist study. There is a good register in each volume. The letters or documents are printed in extenso with short abstracts above each one.
