Johan Philip Sonner (ca.1736-ca.1808) immigrated from Germany to Shenandoah County, Virginia in 1753, and married Tena Wendell in 1759. Descendants lived in Virginia, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Kentucky and related families.
