Notes

William Burns was born ca. 1755, probably in Henry County, Virginia. He served in the Revolutionary War from Virginia. He and his wife had at least eleven children. He died after 1841 at Clay County Kentucky. His son, Wiley, was born ca. 1800 in North Carolina. He married Mary (Polly) Baker in Clay County, Kentucky, in 1821. They had twelve children, 1822-1845. The family migrated to Morgan Indiana, in 1829. He died in 1879 at Martinsville, Indiana. Descendants lived in Indiana and elsewhere.

Includes the Denny and other related families.
