John Waugh was born 1630? in Westmoreland Co., England, died 1706 in Stafford Co., Virginia. He married three times. First wife's name is not known, but she presumably stayed in England when John Waugh immigrated to America (time of his immigration is not known). He had two children with his first wife: Joseph, died 1727 in Virginia; John, Jr. (ca. 1661-1716), who also died in Virginia. He had four children with his second wife, Elizabeth. 1. Alexander (d. 1722); 2. David (169?-1753), who was born in Virginia; 3. Ann, died before 1706 in Virginia; and 4. Elizabeth (d. 1707?), who married Col. George Mason. Descendants live in Virginia, Ohio, Oregon and elsewhere.
