This book includes descendants and relatives of the following families, who lived during or just after the Revolutionary War, and may be considered the first generation insofar as this book is concerned: (1) Zebulon Wright (ca.1770-1839) and his wife, Nancy Moore; (2) Stephen Wright Jr. (1786-1862); (3) Zacheus Wright (ca.1790-1840) and his wife, Aseneth Lewis; (4) Walker Lewis (1774-1860) and Mary Graham (1777-1854); (5) Gillis Moore (b.1778); (6) Spencer Moore (1780-1869) and his wife, Sarah Graham; (7) Joshua Moore Jr. (1793-ca.1867). The author includes a short review of the early settlements in Virginia and Maryland, where the ancestors of the above settled between 1608 and 1666. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida and elsewhere.

Includes Boyd, Hall, Jackson, Lanier, Strozier and related families.
