Chiefly ancestral families and some relatives of the author, Cleo Ora Goff Wilkins. She was born in 1896 at Ft. Wayne, Indiana, the only child of James Oren and Mary Alice Gloyd Goff. Her father, James Oren Goff (1873-1964) was born at Wattsburg, Pennsylvania, the son of Bethuel J. Goff (1834-1917) and Amy Doan Swarthout Goff (1834-1913). He married Mary Alice Gloyd (1873-1955) in 1894. She was born in Indiana, the daughter of Lewis Littler Gloyd (1843-1911) and Mary Jane Johnson Gloyd (1853-1873). James and Alice Goff died at Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Cleo Ora Goff married James Howard Wilkens in 1925. They had two daughters, 1928-1932.

Ancestors include: Phillip Goffe (d. 1674) of Wethersfield, Connecticut -- Daniel Gloyd (b. 1736), a Revolutionary War soldier, of Montgomery County, Maryland -- Samuel Littler (1665-1727) of Frodsham, Cheshire, England and Nottingham, Chesire County, Pennsylvania.
