Notes

Microfilm of original at the Margaret I. King Library, University of Kentucky in Lexington and at the county courthouse.

The District Court of Lexington was abolished in 1802 and its functions were assumed by the Fayette County Court.

The Fayette County Circuit Court recorded deeds until 1819 when this function was transferred to the County Court.

Some records were filmed too dark to read.

Some of the new filming seems to have been filmed without the indexes the earlier filming has. There are no indexes in the new filming for volumes E, F, K, N, 8, 21, 45, 65 & 105-107.

There is some overlapping of dates and some go beyond those recorded as ending dates because miscellaneous years were added at the end in empty pages.

Includes index for some volumes.

Includes some court material besides just deeds.
