Some documents have faded and are hard to read. The 1947 filming is darker and may help with some of the early documents.
The years 1782-1814 have two lists for each year since the county was divided into two districts during this period. Some years have both district lists bound in one volume while other years have lists bound separately.
Lists 1782-1787 are not always in alphabetical order. Lists 1788-1850 are arranged in alphabetical order by the first letter of the surname for each year. Lists give name of person taxed or tithed, type and amount of taxable property, amount of tax, and the county statistics.
