Microfilm of typescript (photocopy, [3] leaves) in possession of Oscar Curtis, Bloomington, Indiana.

Contains a photograph of the cemetery monument for Andrew Ferguson (1765-1855) and a copy of Revolutionary War pension papers for Andrew Ferguson.

Andrew Ferguson (1765-1855), an African American, was born in Dinwiddie County, Virginia. He and his father, Andrew Peeley, were taken prisoner by the British in 1780. They ran away because they were whipped and fell in with soldiers serving under General Greene. He drafted them into the army. He served in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, before his discharge in 1781. He was living in Monroe County, Indiana, in 1838 and in Knox County, Indiana, in 1844. He died in Monroe County, Indiana, in 1855. He left no heirs.
