Richard Kellam (d.1703) emigrated from England to Northampton County, Virginia in 1635, and married Sarah Aisnley. He was probably related to John Kellam, who emigrated to join him in 1664. John soon moved to Somerset County, Maryland, and was the ancestor of John and Nathan Kellam of North Carolina and Hamilton County, Indiana. Descendants and relatives, chiefly Quakers, lived in Maryland, North Carolina, Indiana and elsewhere.

Includes Harris, Kirk, Lane, Outten, Purnell, Stephenson and related families.

Bibliography: leaves 36-58, 77-78.
