Abel, Dirck and Balthazar De Wolf emigrated from Holland to New Amsterdam, New York; Abel and Dirck returned to Holland, and Balthazar settled in Wethersfield, Connecticut in 1664 (when New Amsterdam was taken by the British). Three of his direct descendants, Simeon, Nathan and Jehiel De Wolf, immigrated in 1761 to Grand Pre, Nova Scotia. Descendants and relatives lived in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and elsewhere. Some descendants immigrated to New England, New York, Ohio and elsewhere in the United States. Some descendants immigrated to England.
Includes Eaton, Fitch, Harrington, Starr, Umphray, Webster and related families.
