Robert Glenn (1744-1820)--probably the son of Robert Glenn (d.1761) of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania--married Elizabeth Phillips about 1763/1765. They moved from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to Orange (later Caswell) County, North Carolina by 1770, moving by 1779 to Lincoln County, North Carolina, and by 1808 to White County, Tennessee. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, Arkansas and elsewhere.

Includes Deffenderfer, Payne, Shipp, Simms, Yoachum, Williams and related families.
